When I say Ashley + Michael’s beach engagement session is what dreams are made of and that it was a once in a lifetime shoot for me – I am not exaggerating ONE bit!

No…seriously…these two are so sweet (AND I have tried to replicate this dreamy moonrise scene again and I could never get the moonrise to align so perfectly with the mountainside again!) All puns and romantic notions aside, the stars truly aligned for me getting stuck in rush hour traffic in San Fran/no space for parking at our original location/losing service and missing the peak of the sunset/last second meeting at a different spot…(<– THAT is seriouslyyy what a photographers nightmares are made of)…however…in our brief time we spent together, Ashley & Michael were so incredibly gracious for all the things that had gone *wrong* thus far and were so relaxed being themselves together with me. The dusk light was soft, the cool beach breeze set the mood for some romantic coziness, and the full moon slowly revealed itself behind the mountainside facing the beach. I could not have ever fabricated such a romantic scene for their engagement photos. This just happened, y’all. It’s like this is exactly how it was meant to be.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to have captured these two cozied up on the beach, popping champagne, holding hands, and snuggling up in the cool salty breeze.
