One of the things I love most about my job of capturing and preserving love stories is meeting couples who knock my socks off with their undeniable connection. Bailey + Ivan are on fire for each other and I knew from her first email that working with this couple was going to be a blast! Bailey met Ivan in Mammoth Lakes where they were both working at the time. This pair loves being in the mountains and snowboarding and they wanted their engagement photos to reflect their love of the mountains. Though our phone calls & emails we found the perfect little spot hidden away in Orange County for our session. I loved hunting for the perfect foresty spaces in this park to capture these two in their favorite element (plus these huge, beautiful trees just speak joy to my soul. Am I the only one??)

The cherry on top of our time together was sharing the final gallery with them & their family. I am not going to lie, there is nothing like the pressure of revealing a gallery to a couple with their family watching. But when sister and mama cried tears from how well their joyous connection was captured in these photos, I could not have been more elated that Bailey, Ivan, and their family loved the way I documented their relationship! Seriously, tears of happiness are the highest compliment for my enneagram type 4 self. (BTW – shout out to their willingness to play along with my seemingly awkward ideas to create some of my favorite double exposures ever.)
