Ivan and Bailey’s wedding day was something I had been looking forward to with great excitement since I first met them during our hidden redwood forest engagement session last year. I + B are the kind of couple who inspire everyone they know with their enduring love. It was a blast to be a part of such a meaningful celebration of their relationship!
Bailey and Ivan first met in Mammoth Lakes where they were both working that summer. They wanted their wedding day to reflect their love story, and also their love for the mountains. Tenaya Lodge in Yosemite was the perfect venue that exudes mountain vibes.
From the bride… “Ivan and I met while living in Mammoth and we wanted to have a venue that represented our love for winter and the mountains. The lodge is perfect because it has the warmth of a mountain cabin but the ability to put the larger focus on the outdoors and allow us to make it feel moody and dark. Our fingers are crossed for some snow on the ground and maybe even a little flurry in the air, it will be cold but so beautiful!”
Everything aligned for a perfect wedding day – fresh snowfall made the lodge a winter wonderland, and the sun showed up to clear the roadways and create stunning views from their balcony ceremony. The jewel-toned color palate was simply gorgeous and perfect for the winter woodland setting. Keep an eye out for the little details – the bride handmade all the lettered signs herself!
