We enjoyed the breeze by the cool creek on this Spring day during their motherhood photography session in Wenatchee. There is something about all the trees and the water and the snuggles that is so natural and ethereal, and capturing meaningful photos of moms with their children in nature is my favorite thing!

My biggest goal during a family photography session is capturing connection, personality, and love – and the way I get there is through interactive prompts. Giving everyone a task and adding movement keeps everyone’s minds off of the lady with the camera, and more focused on connecting and having fun together.

When it came time to document their pregnancy, we chose a location near and dear to this couple’s heart – the beach town where they had their first date, said “I do”, had many of their anniversary dates, & where this mama got her first lawyer job. I have a feeling they’ll be making so many amazing memories there as a family of three!
